2007 Journal Quilt

My 2007 Journal Quilt was just shown in Houston, Texas at the International Quilt Festival. The name of this quilt is "Jamjari - Dradonfly". Some of the different techniques that I used for this particular piece are: using extra large, chunky beads: window screening for the wings: gold mesh: angelina fiber; parts of a black plastic mesh vegetable bag: and twisted wire for the antenna.

That is really cool! What are those circular pieces in the background? Are they made of something or just painted? Very inventive. Thanks for sharing.

What a fun quilt! I love the use of unusual materials for the dragonfly. They work perfectly!
