Dwarf Powder Puff Tree at Brookside Gardens - May 10, 2011
I took this photo of a "dwarf powder puff tree" at Brookside Gardens in Wheaton, Maryland on Sunday afternoon. The red powder puff flowers are about the size of a baseball. The tree was beautiful.

I have one of these treasures. I learned its name as Candelaria, but have also seen it as Calendaria. Mine froze to the ground this winter, but I now have a regrowth about 18 in. high. It is was the favorite in my garden.
