"Nearsighted Garden"

This whimsical quilt was made for the Cabin Branch Quilters ( in Woodbridge, Va) " 20/20 vision challenge". The quilt is 20" x 20" but looks like it could be off in size a little, because of the narrow binding at the top and bottom and the wide binding at the sides.
I wanted to make an in-your-face flower garden, since I am nearsighted and need to see things close up.
This quilt will first hang at the Mancuso show ( Mid-Atlantic Quilt Festival ) in Hampton , Va at the end of February and then back to our Cabin Branch Quilt show in March 2009 ( http://cabinbranch.org/news/index.php )

RAVEN AT NIGHT

My black velvet raven is in an Angelina fiber night sky. This is my second raven postcard ( 4"x6") that I made for a challenge on the QuiltArt chat list on the internet. It is in honor of Edgar Allan Poe's 200th anniversary. The earlier raven postcard that I made was of a young raven in his nest in the sunshine ( shown in another entry below).
