       I went into the city  (  Washington D.C. ) yesterday to see the cherry blossoms.  I try to go to see them each year.

Castor Bean 2 - March 23, 2011

        I designed and made this fiber art quilt in February of 2002.  I discharged a piece of purple fabric with a large castor bean leaf from my neighbor's yard.  I quilted it in copper metallic and invisible threads.  I also used fancy yarns and threads, some of which were quilted under purple tulle.  It is 19" x 18" in size.

     I designed and made this 13" x 14" quilt  in 2001.  This quilt won a 1st place ribbon for   "Viewer's Choice"  in the small contemporary category at the Cabin Branch Quilter's show in  October of 2001 in Woodbridge, Va.
