HIGH NOON

This journal quilt is 8 1/2" x 11' and was done for the Journal quilt project and first shown at the International Quilt Festival in Houston, Texas.

I painted cheesecloth olive green for some of the greenery, used dark brown wool roving and dark brown ultra suede for the rabbit and Angelina fiber to make the sun shine brighter.



I made a coordinating piece in red and blacks with the same rabbit. For thr red and black piece, I used a batik for the background, Angelina fibers, fancy yarns and threads and black tulle to hold every thing in place while quilting it. Both pieces are the same size.
