TRAPPED


I did this small 8 1/2" x 11" journal quilt for the Journal Quilt Project and it was shown first at the Houston International Quilt Festival. I thought that it looked like the dragonfly was trapped in the netting and a friend thought it looked like is should be called "Escape". I guess it's all how you look at it.

I used a batik background, Angelina fiber for the wings, cotton lame for the body, gold mesh, silver screening, beaded wire for the antenna and beading for the eyes.
